Yoga and Açaí Bowls are pretty much a match made in heaven. This is where you’ll feel you’ve landed after filling up on one of Updog’ big and delicious Açaí Power Bowls. Updog is located in the Be Yoga Studio in Marietta, Georgia, and they have the perfect recipes for filling, nutritious smoothie bowls for yogis and non-yogis alike.
Updog uses all organic ingredients except on rare occasions when certain items are not available. In addition to their açaí bowls, you’ll find smoothies, cold-pressed juices, hot chocolate, and tea – all made to order. What we love most about Updogs’ drool-worthy smoothie bowls are the generous portions and perfect balance of healthy fats, superfoods, and ripe fruit. They clearly understand that after sweating in a challenging yoga class, students really want sinfully satisfying replenishment, not a cute fruit snack.

Located in bucolic Serenbe just southwest of Atlanta, Bamboo Juice builds seamlessly on Serenbe’s mission to bring people closer to nature and foster a community rooted in wellness. Serenbe is home to a 25-acre organic farm, a seasonal Saturday Farmer’s Market, and a thriving CSA program. Even some of the town’s landscaping is edible, with blueberry bushes that line neighborhood paths and sidewalks.
Bamboo was founded by Kelley Sibley after she discovered how smoothies and juices made from fresh organic fruits, vegetables, and nuts dramatically improved the chronic health issues that she had been struggling with for years. She obviously takes wellbeing and health seriously. Kelley ensures Bamboo uses 100% certified organic ingredients and her labor of love has earned the rare and prestigious designation of being a USDA Certified Organic Facility. It was an easy choice to deem Bamboo Juice as our Best Juice pick for all of Georgia.
Everything at Bamboo tastes alive with flavor and is packaged in glass bottles instead of plastic. Plus, Bamboo’s staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. In short, even if you don’t live in Serenbe, Bamboo Juice is worth a visit for sure!.

Our pick for Georgia’s Best Gluten-Free Bakery is spearheaded with so much love it can be felt with every bite. The motivation behind 2B Whole’s owner, Toula, was to craft her own gluten-free recipes when her son was diagnosed with multiple food allergies and intolerances in his childhood. She honed her skills for years and then knew she needed to help the community by offering safe, high-quality baked goods that were not only created with clean ingredients but tasted so good they left you craving for more.
All of 2B Whole’s offerings are gluten-free and non-GMO, while the majority of the ingredients are certified organic. Plus, they have several decadent options for those who are in need of vegan, paleo, and/or keto baked goods. You’ll find special occasion cakes, cookies, sweetbreads, savory breads, biscuits, donuts, cupcakes, brownies, bars, pizzas, calzones, and amazing melt-in-your-mouth veggie & chicken pot pies.
Their charming space in Alpharetta’s historic downtown has indoor and outdoor seating and a welcoming neighborhood vibe.

This vegan bakery in the Kirkwood section of Atlanta goes the extra mile by committing to using mostly organic ingredients. Only the olive oil, Daiya cheese, nut mylks, and tempeh bacon are not organic at this time, but that could change in the future.
Dulce’s menu offers the perfect balance of filling breakfast favorites and cafe lunch items like sandwiches, salads, soups, and grain bowls. But their showstoppers are definitely their sweet vegan treats like dreamy cinnamon rolls, scones, and cupcakes.
Several tables are available inside, in addition to a few along the sidewalk in front of the cafe, making it a great spot to sip on a vegan latte or kombucha and enjoy a lovely guilt-free vegan meal.

Simply put, we love Lov’n It Live. This family-owned restaurant serves flavorful vegan, local, raw food made with mostly organic ingredients. Each dish is as satisfying as it is healthy, and always prepared fresh daily. Many people may be intimidated by raw cuisine, but co-owners Judy Harper and Vincent Stretcher have unlocked the code on how to prepare crave-worthy raw food.
Like Cleanfoodie’s founder Irene, Vincent utilized organic, clean eating to help his body heal following a health crisis. He noticed that the more raw, organic food he incorporated into his diet, the better he felt and the more progress he made in his recovery.
The space is relaxed and homespun with a jazz soundtrack that enriches the dining experience. The menu offers a wide variety of smoothies, salads, pizzas, wraps, and even five-course dinners. Be sure to indulge in multiple courses (ehem! Pie of the day! Yes, please.) Your body and those tastebuds of yours will thank you!

Upbeet could also easily secure the spot of our best overall clean restaurant in Atlanta. This fast-casual, build-your-own dish cafe does not sacrifice the quality of its ingredients and allows you to get creative as you chart your own culinary journey. The vast majority of their ingredients are organic and the few that are not are clearly labeled as such, once again allowing you to have agency in your food choices. The menu is extensive, and like a well-thought-out wardrobe, could be mixed and matched beautifully in a multitude of ways. This helps Upbeet secure itself as a clean food staple that serves delicious unadulterated nourishment.
The space is light and airy, with lovely outdoor seating as well. They offer grain bowls, salad bowls, yogurt and smoothie bowls, toasts, smoothies, lattes, coffees, teas, and housemade specialty drinks. And for the times when you need a break from decision-making, you can choose one of their chef-curated combinations and even pair it with wine or a craft beer. Upbeet gets our vote to become the next big mega-franchise, particularly if they are able to continue sourcing their high-quality clean ingredients ethically and sustainably. What a revelation it would be to have one of these in every town in the USA!

Karma Farm is family-owned and operated, and serves indulgent clean eats made from recipes that have been in the family for decades. They dish out organic food, made from scratch with locally sourced ingredients without any of the bad stuff. But what really sets them apart is the effort to make Karma Farm a safe place for those with food allergies and intolerances. One reviewer commented on how much this meant to them.
“I have a number of food allergies and am used to just getting by in restaurants. It’s so wonderful to come here and be able to eat such flavorful food without worry. They are experts in helping people to eat safely with delicious, healthy food, and with making you feel like an extended part of their family.”
In addition to those with allergies, vegetarians, and vegans, the planet is well-cared-for as well! All of their packaging is 90% compostable and with every meal purchase, they donate a meal to those who are food insecure.
Karma Farm is a rare find and well worth a visit when you’re in Atlanta; Clean counter-service food that does not sacrifice taste. Karma Farm is the perfect spot in Atlanta when you’re craving quick comfort food and you, of course, want it to be clean!

Root Baking Co. is a stunning example of how delicious food can be when local sourcing and freshness take center stage. Owned by Chris and Nicole Wilkins, and originally located in Charleston, this locavore bakery and cafe calls the second floor of Atlanta’s Ponce City Market home. They source all of their grain locally and mill it fresh in-house. The freshly milled grain is used to make and maintain all of their starters. This slow-food approach, and attention to detail, is what makes their made from scratch baked creations blow-your-mind good.
To be honest, Root Baking Co bakes the caliber of bread that makes you think, “Holy crap. What the heck have I been eating all my life? THIS is BREAD!” Chris knows that the flavor is found through fermentation, but he isn’t looking to create strictly “sour” dough. He is after a more complex balance of flavors,
“It’s not too sour of a thing we’re after. We value complex, sweet, a little bit tart.”
What isn’t complex, is our obsession with this Atlanta bakery. Serving so much more than bread, do yourself a favor and grab breakfast, lunch, or even happy hour at our pick for Atlanta’s best bakery, Root Baking Co.

The White Bull on Decatur Square is an ideal spot to have an inspiring evening with someone special. The menu is continually changing with innovative and simply superb Italian dishes that use fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from small local farms. While you do need to ask questions in order to get the full details on all of their sourcing (which, of course, we did) the focus is clearly on bringing high-quality local products to the table with a passion for sustainable and ethical supply chains.
Pasta plays a major role on the menu and highlights their dedication to the slow-food ethos, using organic grains that are milled in-house. The space is minimally designed yet cozy with lofty ceilings that make it a great spot for first dates you don’t want to smother with “heavy-romance” vibes. Their newly added back patio space, with lighting strung overhead betwixt leafy branches, is the perfect spot to inspire an amore mood.
