The Chicken Jerk Bowl at Bird of Paradise will take you to paradise!

Emily Rankin has created a spot that serves up “sparkle food.”

There are a lot of places that focus on making “comfort food” that is clean and healthy, and thank goodness for them. But sometimes what your body really wants is something that will put that sparkle back in your eyes! Bird of Paradise has nailed it with bright, flavorful food that is low glycemic as well as completely dairy and gluten free. They source their pasture raised meat and organic produce locally whenever possible and have an incredible beer, wine and shrub list to add to your sparkle.

One of the best feelings after going clean with your eating habits, is that spark of “Dang! I feel good!” after eating something that genuinely tastes good and is also full of the nutrition your body is craving. Think of a bright, sunshiny day in which you are super productive and people compliment you on your outfit. Now put that feeling onto a plate, a bowl, or into glass: Welcome to one of the best clean eating restaurants in Orlando: Bird of Paradise!

Clean Eating Restaurants Orlando: The Sanctum Cafe

Deliciously flavored Lentil Dahl at The Sanctum, Orlando

I’m not sure what The Sanctum’s chef, Chelsie Savage has for a middle name, but my guess would be Innovation.

This talented lady has self-taught her way into plant-based culinary excellence. Her dishes are nutrient packed packages of flavorful goodness. The stars of Sanctum are the made-from-scratch sauces that accompany her unique salads and grain bowls. But the list of delicious dishes range from satisfying appetizers to crave-worthy burrinis, which are a twist on a burrito and a panini. Most of the menu is vegan with some additional options for those who’d like to partake in some eggs and dairy for breakfast.

Chelsie and her husband and partner, Jamie did an incredible job at shifting gears in the time of lockdown. They re-formatted their entire business online for take-out and delivery and have become a lifeline for local farmers and producers by creating an online farmer’s market. They’ve even started offering large family-style dishes their customers can pre-order online. So you can feel good about supporting your health, community and cravings all at the same time!

Fresh from the farm salad at Orlando’s Farm & Haus

Farm & Haus emphasizes locally sourced, organically grown, and ethically raised ingredients in all of their dishes.

Husband and wife team Brittney and Patrick Lynn knew they wanted to do one thing: get healthy and wholesome food into the hands of more people. What had started as a meal delivery service has found a home in the vibrant community of Orlando’s East End Market and has become a sure bet among many Orlando locals.

One thing that makes Farm & Haus such an easy “eat clean Orlando go-to” when it comes to satisfying a whole family is how their menu covers the bases between lighter plant-based meals, all the way to more decadent splurge-worthy dishes featuring things like scratch made biscuits and pasture raised bacon.  Thankfully the skills learned from starting out in meal-delivery have come in handy as the whole East End Market collective has teamed up to offer a meal delivery truck during this time of lockdown.

Proper & Wild’s delicious Stella Flat Bread is to die for

The newest culinary edition from chef Chelsie Savage has a more sophisticated edge, perfect for charming date nights and brunches with friends.

The dishes offered at Proper & Wild deliver bold flavors that perfectly accentuate the nutrient dense, plant-based ingredients. Can we say massive burgers, and chickpea fries? Yes, Please! How about creative salads, unique flatbreads, and flavorful heart cakes (‘crab’cakes made with hearts of palm) ? Mmm..hmmm. Those too.

The Savage’s Real Damn Good Food Restaurant Group (Proper & Wild and The Sanctum’s parent company) has also created innovative ways to keep its business in action by offering a la carte and family sized meals via online ordering with curbside pick-up. Plus an entire online farmers market organized to help the local farmers that RDGF restaurant group works with.

It ‘s a real pleasure enjoying clean eats in their charming Winter Park, Orlando location. And if you have to oder online, munching on chickpea fries in your car ain’t too shabby either.
