What’s Served

What I Ordered
I ordered an Acai Bowl affectionately named the Maui Bowl. The acai base was made with a blend of organic acai and organic apple juice then topped with fresh and perfectly ripened strawberries, kiwi, and pineapple. Last but not least, the fruit arrived with a sprinkling of homemade granola, then finished with a drizzling of honey. The acai was robust with flavor and most importantly, not icy and watered down. The quality of the toppings was top notch and overall the Maui Bowl was a big 2 thumbs up.
The Vibe
Big Island Bowls Food Truck is a cool looking trailer sporting a surfer motif with just a few tables and chairs available for seating. They have recently moved to a new location in The Village Garden Food Truck Park of St Augustine. Although I have not yet visited their new location, the photos of the village itself portray a small space containing a handful of food trucks in a somewhat tropically landscaped atmosphere.
The Takeaway
The Big Island Bowls Food Truck serves good quality, mostly clean and tasty fruit bowls and smoothies. Regardless of their location, Big Island Bowls serves delicious fruit bowls and smoothies made with a majority of organic fruits and toppings. When in St Augustine, stop by their food truck at The Village Garden for a cool and refreshing fruity treat.
