What’s Clean
All of the food and beverages offered at every Dr Smood location are 100% USDA Certified Organic and Kosher, all of the time. Their sandwich meats are organic and their seafood is wild caught. Nothing is processed or artificial and they do not use refined sugars. All of the ingredients are free of dairy, eggs, pesticides, and preservatives. Except for the breads, just about everything is scratch made in house, including their nut mylks. Dr Smood offers many gluten free and vegan options as well.
What’s Served
The menu at Dr Smood is quite extensive. In addition to nut mylks, cold pressed juices and smoothies, you can find numerous beverages, including shakes, and coffee made every which way. The menu includes breakfast bites, sandwiches/wraps, salads, soup, pastries, and snacks. Their Grab & Go section is also quite large offering numerous juices and beverages as well as pre-made meals and snacks.
What I Ordered
For my initial review of Dr Smood, I ordered the Hawaj Shake, a Vegan Sandwich and the Golden Mylk Latte. The sandwich was perfectly pressed, light and delicious. The foamy latte was smooth and creamy with a lovely turmeric flavor that was not overpowering. The shake was a bit chunky and thick for my liking, but the taste was spot on.
The Vibe
Dr Smood is located inside the huge Aventura Mall next to Macy’s Men’s/Home/Furniture store. A comfy seating area is located near the service counter.
The Takeaway
Love, love, love me some Dr Smood. It doesn’t get any better than this; 100% clean all the time serving super delish food and beverages. Thank you Dr Smood for doing things right, YOU ROCK! Currently, they have 5 locations in NYC and 5 in the Miami area.
