All of the produce is organic and the Cold-Pressed Juice is 100% organic as well. Aside from a few tiny ingredients like honey, everything The Fresh Press serves is organic and local sourcing is a priority when available.
What’s Served
The Fresh Press serves blended to order Acai, Dragonfruit & Pitya Bowls, Green and Grain Bowls, Cold-Pressed Juice, and Smoothies. If you’re in the mood for something warm, several incredulous Latte and Tea concoctions are offered as well as Reishi Hot Chocolate. You won’t find the same old boring and usual smoothie, coffee, and bowl concoctions here. How about a Blue Peppermint Latte made with house cashew milk, blue Majik algae, maple, ashwagandha, and peppermint oil? Feeling like a smoothie? How does an Orange Spice sound? With ingredients of orange, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, banana, date, and house cashew milk, I can’t wait for a return visit to give that a try.
What I Ordered
I chose a Black Lemonade from the Grab & Go case. With a full-bodied taste and not watered down like some, this charcoal-infused lemonade was one of the better ones I’ve sampled and pungently perfect.
The Vibe
Clean and modern with gorgeous wooden butcher block table tops, seating is provided inside as well as outdoors along the sidewalk. The staff was knowledgable and friendly and a joy to review.
The Takeaway
The Portsmouth location has been in operation since 2014 and has since added 2 other New England locations. The Fresh Press has set up shop in Boston and another in York, Maine. You’ll find clean and delish food, juice and so much more at this high-quality juice bar where they do nutrition right. It’s so nice to not have to wonder what you’re eating and drinking. Stop by any one of The Fresh Press locations and wonder no more.
