What’s Clean
Just about all of the ingredients used in everything Clean Juice serves are organic. Each Clean Juice location provides a list of any non-organic ingredients in plain sight for all to see. I’ve observed very few items on the non-organic lists during my reviews. Typically you will find charcoal, gluten free bread, whey protein, and sea salt on the non-organic list. Big deal, I’ll take it! The nut mylks used in their menu foods are organic, but are not made in house.
What’s Served
The menu consists of cold pressed juices, açaí bowls, quinoa bowls, smoothies, coffee, house made nut mylks, and a few small bites such as oat bowls and specialty toasts.
What I Ordered
I’ve sampled many menu items at several different Clean Juice locations across the Southeast. This review is based on food and juice I’ve tasted at other locations. I’ve found little to no variation in consistency regardless of location. For this review, I’ve chosen the Red Juice and an Acai Bowl, with gluten free flakes in place of the granola. The toppings are typically great but I have to say, this is the first time I’ve tried the GF flakes and I’m not a fan. The taste of the Acai itself is satisfying, but the texture does not get all soupy and yummy. I recently discovered that they use a powdered form of acai instead of frozen…boo! The Red Juice was delish as are all of their organic Cold Pressed Juices and Nut Mylks. The Gold and Cacao milks are my faves.
The Vibe
Located in The Shops of Greenridge in Greenville, this Clean Juice location occupies a newer building. Bar seating as well as a few tables are provided indoors, with just a few tables available along the sidewalk in front of the store. Like other locations, the decor consists of whitewashed wood and shabby chic finishes.
The Takeaway
Clean Juice is a clear winner when it comes to clean ingredients. They are consistent in producing delicious Cold Pressed Juices, Smoothies, and delectable Nut Mylks. Clean Juice is a national chain that is expanding to new cities and states at a rapid pace.
