What’s Clean
Trailhead Juice sources locally when available. The produce is either certified organic or organically grown and most all other ingredients are organic, except for the GF bread and sometimes the bananas. Everything served is vegan and gluten-free. Also, kudos to TrailHead for using glass bottles for the juice.
What’s Served
In addition to Cold-pressed juice, Trailhead Juice offers smoothies, sandwiches, raw soups, salads, blended fruit bowls, and a variety of toasts.
What I Ordered
I ordered an Avocado Toast and the Thai Coconut Rice. The ingredients in the Thai dish consisted of jasmine rice, ginger, garlic, coconut milk, cilantro, pepper, red onion, cabbage, carrots, and cashews. While the house-made Peanut Ginger Dressing was sensational, overall the cold rice dish lacked wow appeal. Although fresh and nourishing, more produce and less rice might have worked better. The all-organic Avocado Toast was a bit short in the pizazz department as well. The toast itself was spot-on, but a lack of seasonings in the avo spread made it a bit boring.
The Vibe
TrailHead Juice boasts natural finishes in a laidback rustic setting. Wood slab tabletops and hanging woven chairs are what you’ll find in this unique space.
The Takeaway
More than just a juice bar, TrailHead does a fantastic job of using clean fresh ingredients. I am looking forward to a return visit to sample a sandwich and smoothie.
