What’s Offered
Sevananda Coop does not knowingly sell foods that contain GMO’s. The produce section is chock full of local and organic veggies and fruits, of which the majority is certified organic. The bulk food bin section is pretty large and offers many organic choices. In addition to your typical grocery offerings, you’ll find supplements, vitamins, herbs, and even pet foods. What you will NOT find at Sevananda Coop is alcoholic beverages of any kind, seafood, or meat.
It should be noted that the ready-made vegan and vegetarian meals from the cafe and Hot Bar do not meet our minimum requirements and therefore this review pertains to the retail grocery only.
The Takeaway
A mainstay for over 45 years, Sevananda Coop is Atlanta’s original natural food store. Organic and clean food choices are plentiful with many vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free choices. You can bet that those who work in the produce section know the local farmers and suppliers on a first name basis. For just a $20. yearly membership fee, anyone can be a part of the Sevananda experience.
