Your Dekalb Farmers Market offers an abundance of clean, organic, and natural foods. The fresh produce section is enormous, and at least a 3rd of what’s offered is organic or organically grown and clearly labeled. Shelf-stable organic foods, vegan, gluten-free, fresh, frozen, you name it, they have it. The seafood section is, you guessed it, huge as well. The majority of what’s offered is wild-caught and they even have several live crab and lobster tanks for you to select your own catch. Fresh baked breads and pastries, made with organic flours and without preservatives or additives, are provided in the bakery section. You’ll even find a large selection of wine and beer, take and bake gluten-free pizzas, and fresh-made pastas. The meat and poultry selections are not organic or 100% grass-fed, nor are the majority of the meats and cheeses offered in the deli department.
I’ve been to a whole heck of a lot of markets across the country and Your Dekalb Farmers Market is a step above anything else I’ve seen, to date. This vast market offers clean foods in most food categories. The fresh produce section alone is bigger than the size of most independent markets. There’s something for everyone at this Decatur landmark. My apologies for the lack of photos, unfortunately, the market strictly forbids photography of any kind inside the store.
