Wegmans provides a mixture of conventional foods and a good deal of clean and organic grocery choices. USDA certified organic foods can be found in every aisle, including a plethora of canned and shelf-stable foods, snacks, beverages, and bread. In the seafood department, you’ll find a nice variety of wild-caught fish and shellfish. Many choices of organic dairy, beef, turkey, pork, and chicken, as well as 100% grass-fed beef & dairy, are stocked aplenty. There are even a few organic fresh-baked bread options at the in-house bakery. You’ll also find a nice assortment of organic wines and GF beer. There’s a large section in the fresh produce area dedicated to organic vegetables and fruits. Wegmans partners with several local organic farms enabling them to have their own Wegmans Organic brand, and to offer locally sourced organic produce. You’ll see their in-house brand in most of the food categories including organic meats, frozen, shelf-stable, and so much more.
Wegmans is one of my favorite grocery chains in the nation. The enormous stores offer clean, organic, natural foods & groceries in every food category, including vegan and Gluten-free. Love the more reasonably priced Wegmans Brand organic foods, and the fact that Wegmans has partnered with local organic farmers throughout the states. Bravo to Wegmans for providing us with so many clean choices and for supporting local farmers. It should be noted that the cafes inside each Wegmans do not meet our minimum requirements and are not included in this review. With over 100 locations in NC, MA, NY, PA, NJ, MD, VA, and expanding, it’s nice to be able to complete your food shopping at a single grocery store, thank you Wegmans!
