At Basimo Beach Cafe in Sand Key, approximately 70% of all ingredients are organic. Many are locally sourced when available. Basimo’s menu clearly indicates which ingredients are organic, and which dishes are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free, hooray!!
What’s Served
The menu consists of breakfast fare, organic coffee, Bulletproof coffee, smoothies, all organic juices, wraps, sandwiches, and a children’s menu. You’ll also find an assortment of grab & go items.
What I Ordered
The Breakfast Sandwich with Avocado and the Basimo Sunrise Smoothie were both a pleasure to sample. The organic English muffin was toasted perfectly and the eggs were scrambled for just the right amount of time, not dry. The Sandwich arrived with fresh fruit on the side, which was a nice surprise. If you’re going to order a smoothie and enjoy the flavor of orange juice, I highly recommend the Sunrise…it is lip-smacking yummy. Both the Sandwich and Smoothie were delish, as was the presentation and atmosphere.
The Vibe
Basimo Beach Cafe is located in The Shoppes of Sand Key. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. At the rear of the restaurant, you’ll find a lovely deck that overlooks the water…quite a nice breakfast view for sure.
