At Green Gables Cafe, mostly organic everything, ask for more specifics. The chicken is organic, the beef is grass-fed pasture-raised, and most of the seafood is wild-caught. The menu offers many vegan, keto, and gluten-free options as well.
Green Gables Cafe’s breakfast menu offers traditional breakfast fare with a healthy twist including gluten-free pancakes, a keto bowl, and paninis until 11:00 am. The lunch menu includes burgers, bowls, sandwiches, wraps, vegan & gluten-free soups, and salads. You’ll also find sweet potato home fries baked in coconut oil with dill, oh my! Don’t forget the desserts, juice, smoothies, tea, and coffee bar creations.
What I Ordered
I ordered the Vaca Burrito Bowl which combined pulled turkey, black beans, brown rice, avocado, then topped with chopped scallions and an amazing jalapeno aioli drizzle. The hefty portion of shredded turkey was moist and full of flavor while the brilliant gluten-free mixture of ingredients and spices resulted in an explosion of happiness with every bite. The food is delish and all the dishes that passed by during my visit were drool inspiring.
Green Gables cafe is a modestly sized and bustling spot with bar seating and tables. The tables are rather close to each other but the lack of space is a worthy trade-off for the fantastic food.
The cafe was packed when I arrived on a Tuesday afternoon; now I know why. Green Gables Cafe serves glorious clean and delicious food with menu options for everyone. There are some lucky residents living in Coral Gables, I’d be there all the time if I lived near. Don’t forget Brunch on Saturday!
