What’s Served
Mediterranean influenced food made with mostly clean ingredients is what’s served at Serendipity Cafe. Traditional breakfast fare is served all day. Their extensive lunch menu includes grass fed burgers, grain bowls, platters, pizza, wraps, soups, small bites, salads, and smoothies.
What I Ordered
I ordered the Sweet Potato Pancakes and a Glow, which is a turmeric and nut milk drink. The pancakes were fluffy and light with no evidence in taste that sweet potatoes were used as the base; very good. The warm Turmeric drink was delish, however, they have changed their menu since my review and this may not be an option anymore.
The Vibe
The vibe is that of a friendly neighborhood diner, without the grease. Seating is available inside at the bar or tables, as well as outdoors under the umbrellas.
The Takeaway
Serendipity Cafe is a family owned establishment that is very conscientious about the quality and cleanliness of its ingredients. Yes, clean gluten free pancakes and pizza can taste just as good or better than those containing gluten. Stop by for breakfast or lunch when in Dunedin.
