What I Ordered
I ordered the Tropical Storm Açaí Bowl. There certainly wasn’t any skimping on the amount of fresh fruit toppings, although there was a little too much granola for my liking. The toppings were super fresh and the Acai appeared to be freshly mixed as well. It’s a little thing, but I really enjoyed the way the fruit toppings were chopped into tinier pieces than what is usually found atop an Acai Bowl. I think that adds to the overall taste of the bowl; more fruit in each bite, or at least it seems that way.
The Vibe
The atmosphere is certainly comfortable with bean bag chairs and bar seating. The laid back vibe feels similar to a neighborhood coffee shop with a different menu. Outdoor seating is not available.
The Takeaway
Refresh Food Co offers the cleanest ingredients nearest to the UF campus. Not only are they close and relatively clean, but their appetizing Acai Bowls are a little bit of heaven in a bowl. Stop by and support this locally owned hangout and enjoy a scrumptious smoothie or bowl.
