Approximately 80% of the ingredients utilized at Daily Green are organic. Most of the produce is organic as are the majority of the remaining ingredients. Exceptions are the nut mylks, English muffins, and a few other items, ask for more specifics. The menu items at Daily Green are predominantly vegan and vegetarian, but they also cater to omnivores too. The treats in the Grab & Go case are baked in house, vegan, and gluten-free.
Daily Green serves waffles, waffle cones, soups, sides, salads, sandwiches, and dessert. They also provide a kid’s menu and serve brunch on Sundays for which the menu is extensive. Mimosas made with fresh-squeezed OJ and Champagne are available during brunch.
What I Ordered
I arrived for brunch and ordered the Paul Bunyan Benedict on organic sourdough toast. The sautéed collards with bacon tossed throughout were a bit salty but otherwise delightful. The cheesy grits had a smoky flavor and nice creamy consistency.
Daily Green occupies a small, simple and modest space with outdoor seating available as well.
With a strong emphasis on local and clean, Daily Green offers mostly clean food that happens to be largely gluten-free as well. The waffle cones are unique and brilliant, and I must try one next time.
