What’s Clean
Most of the ingredients are organic with the exception of the chicken. The tuna is wild-caught and fresh. There are many vegan and gluten-free options and the majority of menu items are house-made.
What’s Served
The Date & Thyme menu offers smoothies, juices made to order, a coffee bar, breakfast, salads, wraps, grain bowls, and a kiddie menu. A number of grab & go items are available inside the market.
What I Ordered
I ordered the Avocado Toast with Egg, a Coco-Berry Smoothie, and a Mango Tango smoothie. Both of the smoothies were fresh and creamy, not watered down with ice. However, the Mango Tango Smoothie was exceptional; pungent and pure goodness. Smeared over the perfectly toasted bread was the cilantro-touched avocado mash, topped with fried eggs that were cooked just as I requested. The only complaint is that I would have enjoyed a larger portion of the avo mash on the toast. Overall, a superb breakfast experience.
The Vibe
Located in a building that might have been a gas station at one time, Date & Thyme is a true neighborhood market and cafe. There is a lovely outdoor seating area in front of the market with misters and shade. This is the only seating available.
The Takeaway
Order and pay inside the market then have a seat outside. Date & Thyme provides great tasting food with many clean options and they go the extra mile…for us! The Market is open ’til 6.
