At Lilikoi Organic Living, the chicken, produce, and most of the ingredients used in their dishes are organic. The salmon is farmed at certain times during the year, so be sure to ask for more specifics. Many vegan and gluten-free options are offered as well.
The menu at Lilikoi offers breakfast plates until noon and brunch all day. Lunch begins at 11:30 am and includes sandwiches, wraps, salads, entrees, and soup. In addition to beer, wine, coffee, and tea, they serve kombucha on tap, smoothies, and juices made to order.
What I Ordered
We sampled the Mahi Mahi Burger on a gluten-free bun, with a side of Gobo Chips. The Gobo Chips are basically burdock root fried in coconut oil, quite a healthy and tasty treat. Both the Mahi Mahi Burger and the Chips were delish, but the bun was a bit burnt on the burger. We also sampled the gluten-free house-made Banana Bread. Unfortunately, the bread was not to my liking in taste, and a bit burnt along the edges. The top choice of the meal was the Lilikoi Signature Lemonade, so refreshing and just about as perfect as it could be, wow!
What a charming restaurant, right down to the bathrooms. Lilikoi is cozy, casual, and comfy with loads of character. I absolutely love the vibe and I do have to say, Lilikoi Organic Living provides one of my favorite restaurant atmospheres in South Florida.
Lilikoi is a lovely spot with a fantastic variety of menu options. They serve many clean food choices, and although I wasn’t overly impressed with some of the food that we ordered, I’m looking forward to returning for another review. Maybe they were just having an off day, I’ll keep you posted.
