While reviewing American Harvest, an in-depth interview with management revealed that on any given day, approximately 60-75% of all ingredients are organic. However, the tuna is not wild-caught or fresh, and the chicken is not organic. Furthermore, the beef is not 100% grass-fed. As always, please ask for more specifics. Most of the menu offerings are scratch-made in house.
Open for lunch and dinner, the menu at American Harvest offers Salads, Sides, Burgers, Sandwiches, Wraps, Skillets and Bowls. Some appealing menu choices include the Cuban Hipster Bowl, Blue’s Tacos and a Farmers’ Veggie Sandwich to name a few. They also offer several vegan options such as the Curry Roasted Vegetable Bowl and the Asian Salad.
What I Ordered
I sampled the Cauliflower Skillet which consisted of roasted garlic, kimchee Brussels sprouts, fresh herbs, and a citrus Greek yogurt sauce. I must admit that I was pretty impressed with this appetizing skillet. Both the cauliflower and Brussel sprouts were tender and browned along the edges while bursting with flavors of garlic and herbs. The mildly spiced yogurt was a refreshing choice and the entire dish was well seasoned. The ingredients complimented each other nicely in taste, texture, and temperature. So yes, the Cauliflower skillet was as good as it looks. By the way, the burgers looked pretty amazing.
