What’s Clean
Many of the ingredients at Smart Bites To Go are organic. They grow a good amount of their own produce in the lot adjacent to the cafe, ask for more specifics. The bread, tortilla wraps, and turkey bacon are not organic. The majority of everything served is scratch-made in house. Vegetarian and Paleo options are available.
What’s Served
The menu changes daily but for the most part offers breakfast items, appetizers, salads, sandwiches/wraps, and burgers. They have an assortment of grab & go treats, juices, and drinks available as well. A surprise menu choice is Miami’s only Cricket Burger, yes that’s right, as in cricket the bug, which they raise themselves.
What I Ordered
I ordered the Beet Burger, sans the bun. Although the burger did not stay together very well, the taste was amazing and it’s clearly a top 5 all-time veggie burger experience for me. Even though I wasn’t hungry, I could not stop eating this burger…so good! The mixture of toppings, sautéed onions, and spices created a moist and delectable handheld meal! Maybe next time I’ll try the cricket burger, possibly, maybe??

Smart Bites To Go occupies a casual space with a rustic flair with distressed wood finishes throughout. They also have a nice patio area with outdoor seating.

Situated in the Allapattah section of Miami, where they converted the parking lot next door into a farm. Smart Bites To Go is known as the first authentic sustainable restaurant in Miami. Place your order then take a stroll through their garden. Smart Bites To Go was such a pleasant surprise; they serve great tasting clean food and are a must stop when in Miami.
