What’s Clean
Adelheidi’s Organic Sweets makes it’s own gelato and ice cream treats with organic grass fed dairy. All gelato ingredients are organic and gluten-free, as well as their waffle cones and most of their toppings. The restaurant is a dedicated gluten-free facility. They also offer organic vegan ice creams. The whipped cream and a few of their toppings are not organic.
What’s Served
They serve gelato, sundaes, coffee, acai bowls, pitaya bowls, and smoothies.
What I Ordered
I ordered a scoop of espresso chip and another of the salted caramel flavored ice creams served in a cup. Next, I opted for a drizzling of warm chocolate syrup, finished with a topping of nuts. The espresso chip ice cream had a rich coffee flavor and was loaded with chocolate chunks. The salted caramel flavor was sweet with an ever so slight hint of salt. Otherwise, I was a bit disappointed in the texture of both ice creams as they were not as creamy or velvety as I prefer. I also sampled a few of the vegan ice creams which were just as tasty with about the same level of creaminess as their dairy ice creams. Lastly, I did sneak in a bite of one of their housemade waffle cones…which was pretty darn satisfying.
The Vibe
Adelheidi’s occupies a small cozy space with traditional decor. Seating is plentiful inside with circular wooden tables and bench seating. Also, you’ll find a nice variety of grab & go snacks and treats. By the way, the storefront is actually at 520 Park St but the official address is 630 5th Ave.
The Takeaway
Organic ice cream in downtown Naples, does it get any better? Housemade, Organic, and Gluten-Free Ice Cream is not an easy find. Thank you Adelheidi’s for doing good things in the Clean Food realm.
