What’s Clean
Everything at Angelic Desserts is made in house, from scratch, with organic and non-GMO ingredients. The coffee is organic and small-batch roasted while the made to order tea is steeped in teapots, the old fashioned way. You won’t find any preservatives here, but you will find lots of vegan and gluten-free treats.
What’s Served
Angelic Desserts is a full-fledged bakery so you’ll find just about every traditional bakery item in their shiny display cases including breads, strudels, pies, muffins, cookies, and incredible desserts to name a few. In addition, a limited breakfast menu is served all day. Let’s not forget lunch which offers soups, sandwiches, a Greek salad, and small bites. Oh, and the coffee, espresso, and teas.
What I Ordered
I got a Chicken Pot Pie and a Keto Brownie, and if I wasn’t in the midst of losing some pounds, I might still be there sampling everything I could. The brownie was certainly sweet and chocolatey and unfortunately a bit on the dry side. I did arrive just before closing time so I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that it was a day old and slightly stale. The single-serving Chicken Pot Pie was chock full of medium-sized chunks of chicken and tender veggies with a melt in your mouth flakey crust that screamed “made from scratch.” All in all, a clean version of a comfort food fave that was mouth-watering good.
The Vibe
Even though it was almost closing time, the place was busy with a steady stream of patrons. Several tables are set up indoors for dining as well as outdoors along the front patio, complete with umbrellas for shade. Although the space is located in a small yet nice strip mall, the feel once inside is of a neighborhood bakery where your name is remembered.
The Takeaway
Oh my, I’m speechless. At this time, I’ve reviewed @ 2000 restaurants and eateries and clean bakeries are a very rare find. The clean organic ingredients used here is what drew my attention, but it turns out, that is just the beginning. Angelic Desserts offers scratch-made delicious baked treats, organic coffee, teas, and more with so many gluten-free and vegan options…even Keto! The story behind what prompted the owners’ inspiration for baking these delicious treats is even more intriguing. Don’t pass them by, check them out when in Naples, treat yourself!
