What’s Clean
Just about every ingredient used in the dishes prepared at Food & Thought is organic and GMO’s are forbidden. The beef and chicken are organic as is all of the produce. The seafood is wild-caught and much of the menu is scratch-made including the soups.
What’s Served
A limited breakfast menu is served all day and includes a breakfast sandwich, avocado toast, and quiche of the day. Soups and salads are offered throughout the day as well. Dinner begins at 4 pm and entrees are the main draw here. Meatloaf, BBQ Pork Chop, Pan Seared Wild Atlantic Salmon, and a burger are a few of the menu choices. A kid’s menu is also offered. Adjacent to the order counter you’ll find the vegan raw bar which also serves organic and clean foods, however, the sushi bar does not meet our minimum requirements.
What I Ordered
The Chicken Milanese was calling my name, and I’m so glad it was. Served with a white creamy truffled polenta, the breaded chicken cutlet was browned to a perfect crunch while the chicken was tender, tasty, and moist. The uber fresh side salad with pickled red onion, shaved parm, baby heirloom tomatoes, and a dreamy balsamic reduction atop arugula was outstanding as well. All in all, I was taken aback by how dang delish this dish was.
The Vibe
Wow, what a happening high energy market/food hall/bar Seed to Table is. Food & Thought is just one of many vendors in the food hall atmosphere located at the rear of the market. If you’re in the mood for a nice quiet dinner, this is not the place. It’s a lively venue and so much more than just a grocery store. The interior is modern and chic in areas with farmhouse touches. Seating areas are available on the lower level as well as in the loft that overlooks the market.
The Takeaway
Food & Thought along with its vegan raw bar is the only vendor in the Seed to Table Market serving organic and clean foods. Not only is the food clean, but it is also quite delish. There’s something for everyone at Seed to Table and Food & Thought is a clean eater’s haven. Seed to Table Market is a place that one must experience at least once.
