What I Ordered
I’ve had the pleasure of eating many clean meals created by owner Emily Rankin over the years. For this review, I ordered the lively and delish Island Jerk Bowl with roasted pork as the protein choice. The tropical bowl of tender pork with fresh and crisp veggies over Jupiter brown rice was devoured in minutes. With a hint of coconut flavor, the fluffy rice absorbed the mildly spiced Caribbean sauce that was good enough to slurp…so I did. Pineapple salsa draped the shredded purple cabbage, carrots, and kale making this bowl a slam dunk in taste and quality. The plantain chips are some of the best I’ve had.
The Vibe
Bird of Paradise is a fast-casual cafe located inside the hip and always popping East End Market food hall. Bar seating surrounds the service area with a few tables available as well. Ample outdoor seating is provided outside the market in 2 separate areas.
The Takeaway
Bird of Paradise serves the cleanest sit-down meals in town. They are open for breakfast & lunch daily. Bring a friend, order a lovely meal, and relax on the porch!
