What’s Clean
Approximately 75-80% of all ingredients at The Sanctum are certified organic or organically grown and sourced locally. The sourdough bread and eggs (served during breakfast and lunch) are not organic, as well as some of the produce, particularly in the offseason. Most items are house-made, including baked goods and sauces. Plant-based, vegan and vegetarian dishes are the mainstay with an occasional egg served during brunch on the weekends.
What’s Served
The menu consists of grain bowls, salads, small plates, pasta, cold-pressed juice, smoothies, Kombucha, desserts, coffee, tea, craft beer, and wine.
What I Ordered
I’ve sampled just about everything at The Sanctum over the years but for today’s review, I’ve chosen the Taco Bowl, Poke Crostini and the BlackBerry Pie Bar. The Crostini was amazing, the bread was perfectly toasted and the combo of house-made sauces complimented the array of fresh toppings perfectly; so flavorful, light and fresh. The taco bowl was pretty awesome, I chose the quinoa base and again the mixture of nut-based sauces and alternating textures created a delish and satisfying meal. The Pie Bar was fruity and moist, and I loved the crumble topping and crust.
The Vibe
At the Sanctum, you’ll find an atmosphere that is always bustling with a hipster crowd. Nibble or slurp at an upholstered couch, table, or 1 of 2 bar sections. The Sanctum has a comfy neighborhood feel that tends to get a little loud when crowded. Outdoor seating under shade umbrellas is also available.
The Takeaway
The Sanctum is a Plant-Based restaurant destination in Orlando. Lots of unique dishes are offered and their daily/weekly specials are dabomb!
