What’s Clean
Just about everything served at Amavida Coffee and Tea is organic, including cold brews, teas, the hot chocolate, smoothies, treats and of course coffee. All of the dairy and non-dairy mylks are organic as well. The coffee is Fair Trade as well.
What’s Served
Coffee is served every which way including frozen, nitro, iced, hot, and espresso. In addition, Amavida Coffee & Tea serves a few smoothies with optional protein add-ons, hot chocolate and several types of tea. Bagged Organic coffee is for sale in the store as well as kombucha, bottled juice, and sodas. You’ll also find fresh baked goods tempting you atop the counter.
What I Ordered
I ordered the hot chocolate made with organic coconut mylk! First of all, I consider myself a Hot Chocolate snob, just sayin’. That being said, the coconut mylk was frothed and melded into a creamy luscious cup of Hot Chocolate, yum. Of course, I opted for a dollop, ok 2 dollops (but who’s counting), of whipped cream and a drizzling of chocolate sauce. The only thing I had wished was different was that I ordered a larger size. My traveling mate ordered a Cappu-Latte which was sipped with fervor amongst moans of satisfaction. She described the Latte as rich and aromatic with a bold taste, I concur.
The Vibe
The vibe is cozy and warm with a neighborhood coffeehouse charm. The decor in all of the locations I’ve visited has been inviting and comfortable, but varied regarding the theme.
The Takeaway
Amavida Coffee & Tea is doing good things in the sustainable and clean food worlds. Their packaging is earth-friendly and sustainable as well. Amavida is a Certified B Corporation which is no easy task to attain, big congrats to them and much respect. I love everything they stand for and my hope is that they continue to expand.
