What’s Clean
The majority of ingredients in the cafe and juice bar are organic with many vegan and gluten-free options. In addition, the bakery items are house-made with organic ingredients. The cold and hot bar foods are not labeled, ask for more specifics as to what is organic. The ingredients in the grab & go deli items are labeled, however, the bulk deli foods are not labeled. Again, ask for more specifics.
What’s Served
The cafe area at Ever’man Co-op Grocery & Cafe consists of the following sections: a deli, bakery, juice/smoothie section, cold bar, and a hot bar. The cold bar includes a rather large salad bar. The hot bar includes protein selections such as meat, chicken or seafood as well as several sides and a few soups. The deli offers everything from house-made pizza to sandwiches, bakery goods, and grab & go deli items. The juices and smoothies are made to order and organic coffee and soda are self serve.
What I Ordered
Today we sampled the Green Giant Smoothie and several bakery items, all were outstanding. Typically, I order a soup which is always tasty and full of flavor.
The Vibe
Ever’man Co-op Grocery & Cafe is a bustling grocery store with a busy cafe area along the left side of the store. They provide a nice seating area with many tables and a few televisions indoors as well as outdoor seating. Also, the store is relatively new and clean.
The Takeaway
Ever’man’s is one of my favorite stops in the panhandle. Even though they are a co-op, everything is open to the public. Another reason to visit the cafe is that their prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of ingredients. Above all, Ever’man Grocery Cooperative & Cafe does things right and is a must stop when in the Pensacola area. I’ve visited many times and I’ve never been disappointed.
