What’s Clean
Everything is made in house at this artisanal ice cream boutique. The dairy ice creams are made with locally sourced pastured cow milk from cows that are fed organically-grown grass. Greenery Creamery actually pasteurizes the milk themselves. Non-GMO coconut cream serves as the base for the vegan ice creams, although some bases do contain soy, ask for specifics. The cones are made with coconut milk and chia, with their specialty being the Black Coconut Ash & Chia cone. Gluten-free options are available.
What’s Served
Greenery Creamery serves both dairy and vegan ice creams and soft serve along with specialty cones, ice cream sandwiches, and toppings. Their unique flavors vary on a daily basis but often include Mint Stracciatella, Ube, Lavender Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Oreo, Orange Blossom Pistachio, Guava, and Lychee to name a few, oh my!
What I Ordered
Over the years I’ve sampled and ordered numerous dairy and vegan ice creams at Greenery Creamery and I can honestly say it’s usually quite a task in deciding which flavor to order because the flavors are simply extraordinary. For this review, we ordered the solo sized Passionfruit dairy ice cream and Belgium Chocolate dairy ice cream, both on Black Ash cones. The ice cream was creamy, rich and bursting with so much flavor, and the cone is a treat in and of itself. I don’t ever order cones, I just don’t like them…except here, I wouldn’t miss their infamous Black Ash Cone…amazing!
The Vibe
The Sanford Greenery Creamery is located in Henry’s Depot, a newly opened food hall near downtown Sanford.
The Takeaway
What a great addition to the burgeoning Sanford food scene. Greenery Creamery serves some pretty special and unique cold treats, their cones and ice cream, both dairy and vegan, are like no other. Greenery Creamery is my favorite ice cream shop in Central Florida, hands down, and maybe the entire state! A must stop when in Sanford! Visit their flagship location in downtown Orlando.
