At Roux 30a, everything is scratch-made, the seafood is wild-caught and most of the produce is local and beyond organic, when in season. Most everything is scratch-made and fresh, a true farm to table restaurant.
Roux 30a serves new American cuisine with a strong seafood presence. The menu changes constantly based on season and availability of fresh ingredients.
What I Ordered
Unfortunately, we did not make a reservation in advance and were not able to dine at Roux 30A on the evening of our visit. However, I was able to view a few dishes and speak with the chef about the cleanliness of the food. The plates leaving the kitchen looked amazing.
Roux 30a occupies an intimate space with a couple of large family-style tables made of distressed wood. The kitchen is open and in full view with a bar area for front row dining. The friendly and cozy atmosphere made me feel like I was literally in the chef’s home.
Roux 30a is a Chef-driven, charming yet upscale hidden gem with very limited hours, serving dinner 4 nights per week, yep…that’s it! Be prepared to get to know your neighbor at the family-style tables. The restaurant doubles as a special event venue and caters as well. We suggest making a reservation as soon as you know you’ll be in town; next time I will make a reservation weeks, or months in advance. Roux 30a is a true farm to table dining experience.
