What’s Clean
At Beauty of Sprouts, everything served is organic, mostly raw, vegan, gluten free, soy free, dairy free, and sugar-free. Beauty of Sprouts makes just about everything in house including Kombucha along with their fermented sides and dishes.
What’s Served
Everything served is 100% Vegan. The menu offers entrees, soups, appetizers, specialty beverages, and desserts. They also carry a limited selection of organic, vegan, non-GMO and sulfite-free wines. A few enticing menu choices include Macadamia Garlic Cheese, Pad Thai made with Kelp Noodles and Coconut Tamarind Dressing, and their Falafels Salad. Similarly, the Lavender Creme Brulee made with a Cashew Creme base was calling my name.
What I Ordered
Although I wanted to sample several dishes, I ultimately selected the raw Kale Pizza which was a great choice. Firstly, the serving size was beyond large, enough for 2 entire meals for me. The base consisted of a sprouted buckwheat crust, made in house of course. The crust had a nice crispness to it, which was a pleasant surprise. Next, the veggie toppings of nut cheese and hummus paired nicely with shallots, tomato, sprouts, avocado, and a lettuce medley. Raw, clean, nutritious, distinctive and satisfying, need I say more? I also ordered the mushroom kombucha which was clearly made for health benefits and not taste, which I appreciated.
The Vibe
Fancy it is not, the size and decor are modest and the curb appeal is lacking but don’t let that stop you from dropping by to enjoy some amazing clean and healthy food.
The Takeaway
Beauty of Sprouts is a small, one person operation serving high quality and uber clean vegan food. If you’re in a hurry, it’s probably best to visit when you’re not, good food takes time. Rarely do we find clean to this extreme, kudos to you Rano Halikova…BRAVO!
