What’s Clean
At present Moment Cafe, most of the ingredients are organic and the dishes served are vegan, gluten free and predominantly raw. The black beans, sweet potatoes, and vegan cheese are not organic. As always, ask for specifics when ordering.
What’s Served
Present Moment Cafe has an extensive menu of wraps, salads, entrees, appetizers, breakfast, desserts and juices. Some of the dishes on the menu include Creamy White Truffle Pasta, Un Tuna Melt, and the Buddha Bowl.
What I Ordered
We ordered the Oatmeal, Pad Thai, and the Apple Cobbler with house made Cashew and Coconut Ice Cream. The Pad Thai was a bit dry and lacked flavor. The rest of our meal was good but nothing to jump up and down about. Even the ice cream was not that great.
The Vibe
I adore the interior and exterior of this building; retro zen is what comes to mind if there is such a thing. Traditional tables, bar or couch seating is provided.
The Takeaway
I had high expectations for Present Moment Cafe and I was very much looking forward to my first visit. That being said, I do have to say I was a bit disappointed in the food, both in quality and taste. I’ll give them another try next time I’m in town.
