At Craft Kafe, the buyer states that 60-70% of all ingredients used are organic. Craft Kafe is a dedicated Gluten-Free restaurant. Almost everything is scratch-made in-house including their baked goods. They cure their own bacon, grind their own flour, and make a few of their nut mylks in-house. The eggs, cheese, and mylks are not organic. Ask for more specifics. Many Vegan choices are available as well.
What’s Served
Coffee every which way including pour-overs and espressos, salads, soup, quiche, pancakes, sandwiches, build your own omelets and assorted baked goods.
What I Ordered
I ordered the Classic which is an egg breakfast sandwich, vegan soup, hot chocolate with almond mylk, buttermilk pancakes, and a fruit tart straight out of the oven. I also ordered a ‘build your own omelette’ with bacon, swiss, and tomatoes. The Honey Brioche Bun was delish, moist, and did not fall apart when handled. The soup was super fresh, filled with veggies, and a thumbs up in taste. The hot chocolate and GF fruit tart were high quality and off the charts in the yum department. Good Gluten-Free Pancakes are hard to find and Craft Kafe does a nice job in resembling a traditional pancake both in taste and texture.
The Vibe
Love the feel of Craft Kafe. The decor is chic with a cozy neighborhood coffeehouse atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available as well.
The Takeaway
Although not all of the ingredients are organic, the food produced at Craft Kafe is quite delicious, and kudos to them for their commitment to being 100% gluten-free. Their yummy baked goods, coffee, and menu items make them the cleanest and best-tasting breakfast and lunch cafe in the St Pete Beach area. Craft Kafe has another location in downtown St Pete as well.
