What’s Clean
Most of the produce, grains and random ingredients are organic as well as the bread and eggs. The beef is 100% grass-fed while the nut milks and juices are organic and made in house. The sauces and bone broths are also made in house as is almost everything they serve.
What’s Served
The Intelligent Gourmet serves bowls with a choice of brown or white rice, cauliflower rice, or shredded cabbage. Salads and small bites round out the menu in addition to the daily specials. You’ll also find organic juices, juice shots, and cleanses. A traditional brunch menu is offered on Sundays.
What I Ordered
I chose the turkey meat sauce over rice from the grab & go section. The meaty red sauce was robust with a medley of flavors and paired nicely with the tender rice. A hearty meal indeed, think comfort food without the sacrifice of great taste. Also, the large portion was a pleasant surprise, there’s no skimping going on here.
The Vibe
Intelligent Gourmet is located in The Market on Manhattan and shares the space with a healthy dog food shop called Love & Pups. The space is warm and inviting with farmhouse chic decor.
