What’s Clean
Most of the produce used is organic and/or local and the majority of ingredients overall are organic. The deli meats, nut butters, pita, chicken, bacon, and tortilla wraps are not organic. In addition, most of the dishes are scratch made in house.
What’s Served
Island Organics offers a nice assortment of paninis, wraps, sandwiches, soups, salads, bowls, breakfast, a plethora of smoothies, cold pressed juices, wellness shots, coffee, and tea. A few panini choices include Tomato Basil Mozzarella and Chicken & Artichoke, yum! You’ll always find organic cold pressed juice, beverages, and treats available in the Grab & Go section.
What I Ordered
I ordered the Mocha Nut smoothie and it was excellent! The taste was superb, as was the texture, which was nice and creamy. On another visit, my son and I shared a Classic Breakfast Wrap, a Pom Smoothie and a Tumeric Tonic Shot. For starters, the wrap was loaded with scrambled eggs and surrounded with turkey bacon, cheddar cheese, avocado, and tomato. The wheat tortilla was pressed perfectly creating a wrap that was crisp on the outside and moist inside, making it the table favorite. Finally, the smoothie was fruity with a pleasant creamy texture and the shot was exactly what you’d expect; pungent and to the point, while making my eyes water just a bit.
The Vibe
Island Organics is a small, yet quite popular neighborhood eatery making it a busy cafe. The ambiance is comfortable and inviting with a hometown feel and an assortment of tables provided indoors only.
The Takeaway
Located in the charming downtown area of Venice, Island Organics is a step above the rest in deliciousness! For this reason, I was drooling while viewing the scrumptious food emerging from the kitchen. Finally, please stop by and support this local cafe serving mostly clean and crazy good food.
