What’s Clean
The great thing about Pizza Fusion is that their regular and gluten-free crusts are organic. Likewise, the sauce and produce are organic, as well as the steak and pepperoni toppings. The remainder of the meats are free from nitrates, antibiotics, and chemical preservatives. The dough is made in house on a daily basis. However, the cheese is not organic along with several other toppings and ingredients, ask for more specifics. Lastly, they have a few vegan and vegetarian choices on the menu.
What’s Served
They offer salads, sandwiches, wraps, appetizers, and pizza every which way. Pizza Fusion has a “build your own” pizza category and serves dessert as well. Beverages on the menu include organic sodas, teas, wine, and beer. Menu offerings that caught my eye were the Pear & Gorgonzola Pizza, the Roasted Beet & Feta Salad, as well as the Portobello Grill Sandwich.
What I Ordered
I ordered the Gluten-Free Pepperoni Pizza. Unfortunately, the crust was a bit dry and bland but the pepperoni and cheese toppings were tasty. Overall, the pizza lacked pizzaz and was just average on the yummy scale.
The Vibe
The interior is consistent with your typical pizza parlor decor. Set in a narrow space, you’ll find simple tables paired with red chairs. However, you might want to take a peek out the back door. That is where you’ll discover a beautiful view overlooking the picturesque lake. Several tables are set up on the covered deck making for a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere.
The Takeaway
I appreciate the efforts of Pizza Fusion, clean pizza is a hard find and quite frankly, a rarity. They actually offer enough organic ingredients to enjoy an all-organic pizza. Currently, Pizza Fusion has another location in Fort Meyers Florida. Ingredients and menu offerings vary from location to location.
