What’s Clean
At Press’d The Kitchen, approximately 65-70% of the ingredients in their menu items are organic. Ask for more specifics as the availability of organic ingredients fluctuates daily. The produce used for all of their cold pressed juices is always organic, as well as the acai which is blended to order. The almonds in the Almond Mylk are not organic as well as the tortilla wraps. Vegan options are plentiful with a few gluten free choices such as their collard greens wrap.
What’s Served
The limited menu offers wraps, small plates, desserts, smoothies, elixirs, shots, and cold pressed juices. On the day of my review, several different tacos were listed on the menu, including jackfruit. In the Grab & Go section, you’ll find chia pudding, oats, and various small plates.
What I Ordered
I chose the Sweet Roots cold pressed organic juice comprised of carrot, pineapple, ginger, and lemon. YUM, 16 ounces of nutrition in a bottle. Carrot was the predominant flavor, with the remaining 3 ingredients being evenly balanced. The juice was smooth and robust, and definitely a flavor that I would choose again. I’ve tasted several other juices and smoothies at their sister location in Plant Street Market and I’ve always been pleased. My fave is Dean’s Jet Green hybrid drink, which has the consistency of a smoothie. In addition to greens, apple, and banana, the smoothie is made with lemon, turmeric, and ginger which gives it a nice punch and refreshing taste.
The Vibe
Press’d The Kitchen is located in the Stoneybrook West area of Winter Garden. The restaurant itself offers bar seating inside as well as several tables equipped with shade umbrellas available outdoors in front of the eatery.
The Takeaway
Press’d The Kitchen is one of the very few places in the Stoneybrook West area where clean food and juice of any kind is offered. Although the ingredients are not 100% organic, they do accommodate and are very willing to make substitutions based on your dietary needs. Lastly, their food and juices are of high quality and pretty dang delish. Stop by and support this local establishment, they care.
