What’s Clean
At Cowbell, the majority of the produce is local and organically grown. On the day of our visit, the zucchini and squash were not organic. The chicken is organic and we were told the beef is 100% grass-fed and local. Most of the seafood is wild-caught, however, the salmon is farmed.
What’s Served
The menu at Cowbell consists of burgers, tacos, steak, chicken, appetizers and scratch desserts. Beer and wine are also available.
What I Ordered
I ordered the Gulf Fish Tacos on corn tortillas with wild-caught Drum Fish. The tacos were very good, but the accompanying toppings did not taste all that fresh.
The Vibe
The restaurant occupies a 50’s like filling station with a shabby chic interior and fun vibe.
The Takeaway
Overall, the food is good at Cowbell, but it’s not completely scratch-made nor is it made with totally clean ingredients.
