What’s Clean
At Pulp + Sprout, you’ll find all-organic everything, from bread to produce to nuts and everything in between. Much of the produce and other ingredients are sourced locally and although most ingredients are certified organic, some local produce is organically grown from start to finish. Everything is scratch-made and most of it is made in-house. Vegan options are the majority at this Plant-Based Clean Foodie favorite, with Gluten-Free options as well.
What’s Served
Open for breakfast and lunch, Pulp + Sprout serves specialty toasts, acai bowls, sandwiches, and salads such as Chickpea Cesar and Upbeet. You’ll also find 100% organic cold-pressed juices and nut milks, as well as smoothies. 100% organic and gluten-free granola, seeds, and nuts are also available along with house-made broths. Grab & Go treats such as desserts and parfaits line the case and there’s always a soup and/or salad of the day.
What I Ordered
I ordered the Oyster Mushroom Banh Mi and a house-made Cashew Cacao Milk from the grab & go case. The Banh Mi was messy, moist, and outstanding! Smeared with house-made cilantro hummus topped with pickled veggies, fresh cucumber, radish, greens, and sunflower sprouts on local organic sourdough bread…drool, drool. The Cashew Milk was nothing short of perfection as well, thick and creamy with just the right amount of cacao.
The Vibe
Located on a quiet side street near downtown Asheville, Pulp + Sprout sports simple furnishings in a newly constructed welcoming space. Tables and bench seating are available inside as well as a few tables at the storefront along the sidewalk.

There’s no skimping on ingredients and quality, the juices, milks, and smoothies are not watered down and everything is top-notch. Serving amazing plant-based, scratch-made, organic food 6 days a week, it is a “real food” haven. The prices are very reasonable as well for such high quality, scratch-made goodness.
