What’s Clean
At Arnold’s Way, some of the produce is organic or organically grown and local when in season. Arnold grows some of the produce himself in his own garden. The bananas are not organic. The menu is raw and vegan and just about everything is scratch-made in house.
What’s Served
Banana Whips and specialty smoothies in many different flavors, as well as a few salad options are offered. Four different juices are available as well. All of the smoothies are made with a banana base. The banana whips are similar to ice cream in density and texture, with added fruits for flavor. Raw vegan snacks made in house are available and packaged to go, as well as refrigerated vegan foods such as house-made pickles. Local organic kombucha and other drinks are available.
What I Ordered
I ordered 3 different smoothies; the Choco Charmer, a Green Smoothie, and an Aloe How Are You smoothie. All three were hearty and tasty but the Aloe How Are You made with Aloe, Dates, Bananas, and Strawberries was my fave.
The Vibe
The open view kitchen is always busy and Arnold’s Way has a stream of regulars that visit almost daily. You can always count on being entertained by Arnold himself. There are plenty of tables for seating and books to peruse while dining. There’s even a rebounder in the corner if you feel like getting your lymph moving on your lunch break.
The Takeaway
Raw vegan food that is primarily fruit-based, Banana Whips, and Arnold’s outgoing personality are what Arnold’s Way Vegan Cafe is best known for. Arnold’s Way Vegan Cafe is serious about eating raw and vegan and the recipes have a nice balance of nutrition and great taste. I highly recommend you stop by Arnold’s, I promise it will be memorable.
