What’s Clean
Even though the menu specifies only certain items and ingredients as being organic, everything veggie is organic including the coconut and soy ice creams and syrups used in their shakes. The buns are organic and the fish is wild caught. Next Level is a Plant Based, non-GMO and organic vegetable establishment. Gluten free options are available. Sunflower oil is their oil of choice for frying, not the best choice but certainly not the worst.
What’s Served
Next level Burger offers many veggie-based burger options, fries, sandwiches, salads, hotdogs, and shakes. A small kids menu is also available.
What I Ordered
I ordered the Baked Sweet Potato Fries and a Salted Caramel & Peanut Shake made with organic Coconut Soft Serve Ice Cream. The fries were yummy and moist. The Shake was my indulgence for the day. Although thick, it melted to a nice consistency within a few minutes. The shake was yummy and not overloaded with sweetness.
The Vibe
You must place your order on one of the three touch pad screens and then wait to be called for order retrieval. I sat in the cafe sitting area at the front of the flagship Whole Foods store which is similar to every other Whole Foods store except this location has several table areas including an outside upper deck and an interior upper deck to the left of The Level One location.
The Takeaway
It was a pleasure to see Next Level Burger occupying a permanent spot inside the Whole Foods flagship store in Austin. The food is clean, plant based, yummy and legit!
