The menu at The Vegan Yacht consists of vegan and Tempeh based Mexican food! Freeto burritos and pies, chili bowls and dawgs, buffalo burritos and dawgs, and a smokehouse burrito are menu staples. A kid’s menu is available as well. They also offer gluten-free options.
What I Ordered
I ordered the Freeto Pie, with the gluten-free option, or rather, sans the tortilla. The taste was delicious and very similar to traditional non-vegan chili, in texture too. Plenty of flavor with a very mild kick, the chili was delish and the portion size was unexpectedly quite hefty.

The Takeaway
This operation is run like a well-oiled machine with surprisingly fast service. The food is delish and unwavering in consistency and taste. Mostly organic, all vegan, with GF options, delicious dishes, and creative names, I’m looking forward to a return visit. The Vegan Yacht was voted best vegan burrito in Austin a few years back…great choice Austin!
