At Promise Pizza, the flour used in the crust is organic as well as the olive oil, tomato sauce, Promise’s gourmet cheese (mozzarella) and most of the veggie toppings. The meat toppings are not organic, only hormone and antibiotic free. The gluten free crust is not organic, nor are any of the other cheeses offered. However, most of the salad ingredients are organic.
Promise Pizza serves calzones, salads, appetizers, wings, and desserts.
What I Ordered
We ordered a Hawaiian Pizza on regular crust without the cheddar cheese, and a Greenhouse Salad. The salad was huge, fresh and crisp and the Italian dressing was light and just right, not too oily. The pizza crust was good as far as texture, not too thin or too thick, not crispy and not doughy. The cheese was plentiful as were the toppings. Overall the taste was good but a little more flavor would have been nice.
Clean, new and bright but otherwise a basic pizza shop with a wall mounted TV, a vintage (80’s) video game to play and a beverage cooler with several drink choices.
Kudos to Promise Pizza for making the effort to provide us with clean pizza. Clean pizza or even an effort for semi-clean pizza is a rarity. The pizza we had was pretty darn good and the salad was great. My apologies for the piece missing out of the pie in the photo, I was starving and forgot to snap a pic before I indulged in a piece…oopsy!
